This website is the main source of information about Publishing
Scotland and we constantly update and review it to keep it current.
There are factsheets detailing various
aspects of publishing available to download throughout the site but
we also occasionally produce larger print documents. You can
download PDF versions of our review, anniversary book and current
New Books Scotland 2018
New Books Scotland is our most recent rights catalogue - created
in collaboration with Creative Scotland - showcasing members'
books. The print version gets distributed at the London and
Frankfurt book fairs and other events throughout the year. You can
download the PDF version 2018.
Last year's rights catalogues were also created in collaboration
with Creative Scotland. The Autumn/Winter 2017 rights catalogue was
available at the Frankfurt Book Fair (see the PDF version A/W 2017. The Spring/Summer 2017
rights catalogue was available at the London Book Fair (see the PDF
version S/S 2017).
Publishing Industry and Training News
Publishing Scotland sends out a monthly newsletter with news
from the industry. Our training newsletter contains information
about our courses: what's on, when and availability. During the
year we add extra dates and new courses so this is the best way to

Publishing Scotland Annual Report 2016 to 2017
Our most recent report, for 1 November 2016 to 30 November 2017,
gives an overview of Publishing Scotland's work but we monitor and
evaluate our effectiveness continuously to encourage a culture of

Thirtieth Anniversary of the Scottish Publishers Association -
The SPA was founded in 1973 and formally launched in 1974. This
2004 book marks the organisation's thirtieth anniversary in a
collection of snapshots, memoirs, biographies, testimonies and
anecdotes. The SPA changed its name to Publishing Scotland and
