Our Publications

This website is the main source of information about Publishing Scotland and we constantly update and review it to keep it current. There are factsheets detailing various aspects of publishing available to download throughout the site but we also occasionally produce larger print documents. You can download PDF versions of our review, anniversary book and current catalogues below.

New Books Scotland Autumn/Winter 2017

This is our most recent rights catalogue showcasing members books. The print version gets distributed at the Frankfurt book fair and other events throughout the year. There is also a PDF version to download.

The Spring/Summer 2017 rights catalogue was available at the London Book Fair and other events earlier in the year. You can download the PDF version.

Publishing Industry and Training News

Publishing Scotland sends out a monthly newsletter with news from the industry. Our training newsletter contains information about our courses: what's on, when and availability. During the year we add extra dates and new courses so this is the best way to keep up to date. Our book portal, also has a monthly newsletter.

If you'd like to get the latest news on the publishing industry, training, Scottish books, authors, prizes, acquisitions, projects, events and more, fill in the sign-up form.

Publishing Scotland Annual Report 2016 to 2017

Thirtieth Anniversary of the Scottish Publishers Association - A Celebration

The SPA was founded in 1973 and formally launched in 1974. This 2004 book marks the organisation's thirtieth anniversary in a collection of snapshots, memoirs, biographies, testimonies and anecdotes. The SPA changed its name to Publishing Scotland and became a charity in 2007. Download the PDF of the book.
