Abbotsford: Digital Marketing Officer
We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative individual who
can promote Abbotsford to a global audience.
Abbotsford, the home of Sir Walter Scott in the Scottish
Borders, is one of Scotland's most important heritage sites, and is
now seeking an enthusiastic and creative Digital Marketing
Officer to help grow our visitor numbers and achieve our
bold plans for the future.
In 2014 the Abbotsford Trust completed a £12 million
restoration, followed in 2018 by extensive estate improvements,
ongoing funded community development activity, and £3 million
raised so far towards an Endowment Fund. The Trust is now pursuing
a 10 Year Plan - an ambitious vision for Abbotsford through to 2029
encompassing the 250th anniversary of Scott's birth in 2021.
As Digital Marketing Officer you will be essential to
Abbotsford's future success, responsible for engaging a UK and
international audience, growing our online presence and digital
services, and ultimately attracting more visitors to Scott's unique
In this diverse and exciting role, you will be a key member of
the marketing team, reporting to the Marketing & Communications
Manager. You will be looking after all of Abbotsford's digital
channels, providing exposure for news and events, and promoting the
activities of colleagues who work in the historic house, gardens
and estate, gift shop, café and self-catering accommodation.
Full time, £17,417 - £19,201 per annum
