Publishing Projects Editor

The National Galleries of Scotland (NGS) cares for, develops, researches and displays the national collection of Scottish and international art and, with a lively and innovative programme of activities, exhibitions, education and publications, aims to engage, inform and inspire the broadest possible public.

We have an exciting opportunity for a project editor to join the Publishing Department at the National Galleries of Scotland.  You will be responsible for assisting in shaping the concepts and briefs for new titles in their early stages, and also for project managing a range of individual titles from editing to production.

Salary: (Band 5) £27,553 - £30,168 per annum

Status: Permanent, full time post

Role:

With proven experience working in a mid-level editorial role, and knowledge and understanding of all aspects of the publishing process, you will have the ability to manage on-time delivery of multiple and varied publications to the highest standard, dealing with a range of people and demands.  You should have excellent project management and time management skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
