Reporting to: Head of Writing
Scottish Book Trust's Writing Communities programme
supports writers of all backgrounds and abilities to fulfil their
potential through training, awards and writing opportunities.
The Young Writers Programme Manager works as part of the Writing
Communities Team, leading on the delivery of the Young Writers
programme and providing significant support to the Head of Writing
Communities in designing and sustaining the Young Writers programme
at a strategic level. The programme celebrates and nurtures the
talent and ambition of young writers in Scotland, supporting and
empowering them to develop a national programme for their

from diverse backgrounds and the role involves outreach work across
Scotland. The Young Writers Programme Manager develops and
maintains key strategic relationships with charities, youth
organisations, as well as other literature, arts and relevant
