Robert Louis Stevenson Day 2017
10 November 2017
Robert Louis Stevenson Day is an annual date on
Edinburgh's literary calendar when the life, loves and works of one
of the most famous writers born in our City of Literature gets
marked with a moustache-twirling and velvet-clad week full of
events, in town and online, leading up to and around Stevenson's
birthday on 13 November. It's a great big literary party - and
you're all invited.
This year's celebrations include: the launch of a new LitLong
app (which you can use to find your way around sites familiar to
Robert Louis Stevenson in Edinburgh); a Stevenson walk; a book
imagining Henry Jekyll's early life; a French Connection event
featuring readings of poems, stories and travelogues reflecting
Stevenson's love of France; and much more including a moustache to download.
See the RLS Day website for the full programme.
