Accelerate and other courses

If you have a suggestion for training or don't see the course you need, please get in touch with our Information and Training Manager Joan Lyle. We have good links with other publishing training providers and are always happy to work with them to bring training to Scotland. Below are some links to other publishing training providers and training-related projects we are involved in (Accelerate Programme).

    This exciting programme of advice, training and support from Publishing Scotland is for publishing companies who are in the early stages of their development and want a helping hand to grow their business. Applications closed in February 2017 and nine publishers have been signed up for the 2017-18 Programme

    ALPSP provides a full and varied series of events and training including seminars, webinars, training courses and the ALPSP Conference.

    BIC works collaboratively with key stakeholders in the UK book industry to produce quality training courses that are created and delivered by expert, highly-respected trainers on a wide range of supply chain topics.

    Imago's training has been developed specifically for publishing staff by people who work in the publishing and printing industries. It runs a rolling programme of scheduled courses at its publishing training centre in Oxfordshire and also offers in-house training and consultancy.

    Marketability's training includes practical and informal publishing workshops on a range of marketing and editorial topics.

    PLS have just launched a series of free seminars and webinars for publishers, including an 'Introduction to Collective Licensing' seminar at Scott House, Edinburgh on 26 April 2018.

    The PTC runs a wide range of publishing training courses in London as well as distance learning.

    SfEP courses cater for the whole range of experience, from beginners to established editors who need to update and extend their existing skills.
