The Reading Agency
We started our Reading Agency subscription in
Reading Partners (RP) is a unique partnership between libraries
and publishers, providing publishers with access to libraries and
their networks of readers and other partners. It is a commercial
contract between the publisher and The Reading Agency (RA), and
delivered in partnership with libraries. The RA works with 43 adult
and children's publishers. A network of 24 library representatives
helps ensure the partnership is beneficial for libraries and their
users across the country.
The RA works with all 210 library authorities in England, Wales,
Northern Ireland and Scotland, reaching 4,134 libraries. Libraries
offer publishers a platform to creatively market books a wide
variety of readers.
The services are offered to Publishing Scotland as consortium
coordinator and will be shared among the publishers. They include
access to RA's knowledge, contacts and expertise; opportunities to
participate in campaigns, events and roadshows; consumer insight
reports; and news updates.
