I am an editor of academic, non-fiction and professional
publications with a background in creative digital media. In total,
I have 15 years of professional experience with digital and print
production workflows. I have developed my publishing skills across
a number of roles, including proofreader, copy-editor, technical
editor and project editor.
More recently, I have been focusing on editorial project
management and business administration through my work for the
independent publisher, Hedera Felix, which I set up in February
this year (2018). Now a small team of three, we publish
Mycelia, a bi-annual magazine for weird fiction,
experimental literature and visual art. We are also working on
additional titles for digital and print.
Through recognised courses, in-house programmes and on-the-job
practice I have received training in writing, copy-editing and
proofreading from the University of Glasgow, ClarifyNow, Thomson
Reuters and SfEP.
I have MLitt (Distinction) and MPhil (Research) degrees in
English Literature from the University of Glasgow. During my
postgraduate studies I contributed to teaching and conferences and
worked for the university's postgraduate e-journal of the arts and
humanities. My undergraduate degree is a BSc (Hons) 2i in
Multimedia Design and Technology from Brunel University where I
focused on artists' moving image and website development.
Types of title worked on include journal articles, theses, B2B
and membership magazines, non-fiction books, law journals, and

of Law Reporting.
