Saraband is the Saltire Society Scottish Publisher of the Year 2013
Saraband is a creative independent publisher known for its engaging, well-written and beautiful non-fiction titles (especially in nature, history and memoir), and for its emerging literary and crime fiction lists. The crime, mystery and noir titles are published under a separate imprint, Contraband.
Saraband was named inaugural Saltire Society Publisher of the Year (in 2013) and published Graeme Macrae Burnet's 2016 Man Booker Prize-shortlisted His Bloody Project.
Saraband have also been innovators in the digital realm, creating the hit Burns Night app, and co-producing Bookspotting with Publishing Scotland and Nesta.
