The British Book Awards have revealed the finalists for the 2022 Independent Bookshop of the Year Award, sponsored by Gardners. Six Scottish bookshops are included in the total of 62 bookshops from nine regions and countries in the running for the best independent retailer.
The region winners will be put forward for the overall Independent Bookshop prize, which will be announced at the British Book Awards on 23 May. The overall Independent Bookshop of the Year winner will also be in the running for Book Retailer of the Year.
The six bookshops in the running for the Scotland category are:
Far From the Madding Crowd (Linlithgow)
The Bookmark (Grantown-on-Spey)
The Book Nook Stewarton (Stewarton)
The Edinburgh Bookshop (Edinburgh)
The Highland Bookshop (Fort William)
Timberbooks (Overton)
