Tributes have flooded in for Alan Grant who died on 20 July 2022 at the age of 73. He was a prolific and much respected comics writer whose work included Judge Dredd, Batman, the Bogie Man, Lobo, and Rok of the Reds.
He was involved in a huge number of other creative projects large and small from an adaptation of Kidnapped by Robert Louis Stevenson celebrating Edinburgh as the first UNESCO City of Literature, to setting up his own comics company, children’s books with his daughter, and a community project for his local village Moniaive.
