The Historical Writers Association (HWA) has announced the longlists for its awards celebrating the best in historical writing, fiction and non-fiction, published in 2021–2022.
Publishing Scotland member publishers Saraband and Scotland Street Press have books on two of the award longlists:
- Case Study by Graeme Macrae Burnet (Saraband) – Gold Crown Award
- The Queen’s Lender by Jean Findlay (Scotland Street Press) – Debut Crown Award 2022

The shortlists will be announced on 25 October and the winners on 23 November.
