Carmen Callil

Carmen Callil, founder of publisher Virago, died on 17 October 2022.  She followed an outstanding career in publishing with a successful career as a writer and critic.

Her death was announced by her agents on 18 October and you can read the announcement and tribute on the RCW literary agents website.
