Bogota International Book Fair (Colombia)

Since 1988, the Colombian Book Chamber and Corferias have held the Bogotá International Book Fair, a successful alliance that has made it possible to position this cultural event as one of the most important in the Spanish-speaking world. For 34 years, they have brought together all the actors in the book chain (authors, editors, proofreaders, translators, distributors, agents and booksellers) who together with their readers make up this book ecosystem that grows and strengthens every year.
FILBo has been the most relevant and long-standing cultural event in Colombia and the second largest book fair in Latin America. It brings together political decision makers, opinion leaders, as well as civil society of all ranks, around books, authors and important national and international issues.
Objective 2022: Promote the country’s editorial, cultural, and intellectual production, the circulation of books and authors, the commercialisation of books, and at the same time, foster new readers, promote access to books and different content for all Colombians, through a massive event that proposes reflection and debate, dialogue and discussion.
