Location: BBC Glasgow, Pacific Quay.
An afternoon of pitching and networking for Publishing Scotland
members with independent producers. To confirm attendance please
RSVP to india.weir@bbc.co.uk by 20
December.
We have asked the producers to give us the type of stories/
titles they are looking for and will circulate a final list in the
new year but below will give you an idea. Sign up for a pitch, the
timings will be confirmed in January.
- Mainly looking for Scottish fiction stories but open to
everything
- The priority for us are Scottish-set stories (or stories that
COULD be set in Scotland). We would be interested in crime
stories that don't feel over familiar and anything that has
relationships at the heart of but with a narrative hook (like Big
Little Lies).
- Looking for big worlds, world building stories, possibly with
fantasy elements, returnable stories, big brands with key Scottish
recognisable elements which are internationally understood.
- Interested in meeting publishers & authors who write about:
History, Social History, Arts, Women's Issues, Medical
