A forum for shared thinking and debate about the future of publishing, run by the Edinburgh International Book Festival.

When the impetus for society to make positive changes is perhaps stronger than it has ever been in our lives, The Chance to Change offers the publishing industry an international forum for shared thinking and debate about its future during these extraordinary times.

In this session chaired by Ellah P. Wakatama OBE , speakers from across the publishing world will talk about the new realities facing them, share lessons learned, and discuss what visions and solutions they are implementing to ensure purposeful change and sustainable business models going forward.

Taking place alongside the Book Festival's public online programme this August, this event welcomes all in the publishing industry (from publishers, editors and publicists to booksellers, distributors, agents, and authors) at any level from Scotland, the UK and beyond.

With Kishani Widyaratna (Picador Books), Mairi Oliver (Lighthouse - Edinburgh's Radical Bookshop), Sha Nazir (BHP Comics) and Fiona McMorrough (FMcM Associates). With contributions from: Raman Mundair (writer, artist, playwright and filmmaker). Nigel Wyman (Gardners)
