Publishing Scotland at Wordplay

Publishing Scotland and some of its members are taking part in events at the Wordplay Book Festival in Shetland.

Join Publishing Scotland's Marion Sinclair and members Sandstone Press and Floris Books for this interactive workshop, as they give budding authors hints and tips on how to get their work out there! Award winning, Dingwall-based Sandstone Press, the most northerly publishing house of its type in Britain, characterised by their high editorial and design standards; and the outstanding Edinburgh based children's publisher Floris Books (Saltire Society Scottish Publisher of the Year 2016), will discuss current trends and what publishers want to see. Some of Wordplay's brilliant festival authors will also be on hand to share their experiences.

Share your work with Publishing Scotland: 16:00 Sunday 5 November 2017 Green Room Mareel

A chance for local writers to read in front of a panel of industry specialists. Each writer will have 5 minutes to share their work and receive feedback from the panel. This session has limited capacity, so booking early is recommended.
