We are looking for an organised, flexible and digitally literate
Publishing Assistant to work 35 hours a week on
our full list of academic journals. The ideal candidate will have
good numeric skills and excellent attention to detail. You will be
comfortable using Excel spreadsheets to examine data and track your
work, and will be comfortable in a digital environment. Some
experience of Desktop Publishing software and office administration
would be useful.
Based within the journals department, you will primarily support
the editorial team, with some additional support for our production
and subscriptions teams. Activities include compiling information
for publishing reports (including usage statistics); integrating
journal special-issues-as-books into the EUP book systems;
scheduling editorial board meetings and taking minutes; managing
abstracting and indexing arrangements; website amendments; pricing
communications with editors and societies; tracking copyright forms
and author data.
