Gaelic Literature Awards 2021

The Gaelic Literature Awards 2021 are open for submissions from Gaelic writers and publishers. Prizes will be awarded for books published between 1st May 2020 and 30th April 2021 in a number of categories:

  • The Highland Society of London Prize for the best fiction book
  • The Derick Thomson Prize for the best poetry book, sponsored by the Scottish Poetry Library
  • The Donald Meek Award for the best non-fiction book
  • Best Book for children or young people

In addition to published books, there is also an opportunity for writers to submit unpublished manuscripts for children and for adults, and the winner of the best unpublished manuscript for children will have the opportunity to develop their book with Acair.

The closing date for submissions is 30 April 2021.
