The Bookseller 150 of 2020

The Bookseller has published its list of the industry's top leaders, innovators and decision makers. As well as the full list, they've also grouped the entries by roles.

The list includes a number of industry figures with a Scottish connection:

  • Jamie Byng, Chief Executive Officer, Canongate Books (Bosses)
  • Marion Sinclair, Chief Executive, Publishing Scotland (Trade bodies)
  • Nick Barley, Director, Edinburgh International Book Festival (Fairs, fests and prizes)
  • Jackie Kay (Authors and illustrators)
  • JK Rowling (Authors and illustrators)

An additional trade figure is also singled out for special mention and this year 'The 151st' is Jonathan Little, MD of Gardners which 'which worked mightily throughout the year to ensure books kept flowing from publishers to booksellers'.
