Witherby Publishing Group Charitable Trust celebrates reaching £1m of giving

20 December 2021

This year the Witherby Publishing Group Charitable Trust is celebrating an incredible milestone of £1 million of giving since the Trust was established in 2011. The Witherby Publishing Group Charitable Trust funds inspirational projects and individuals across Scotland, primarily in the areas of sport, the arts and education.

From 16th-22nd December, Witherbys will be showcasing the incredible work of the Trust's beneficiaries, which will take place alongside the annual Christmas celebrations and Witherby Arts Festival 2021. Five inspirational videos will demonstrate the positive impact the Trust has made, and continues to make, over the years.

The Trust has funded projects across music, such as the Royal Scottish National Orchestra (RSNO), the Benedetti Foundation, Live Music Now Scotland and St. Mary's Music School. It has also funded community projects within sport, including the Turnhouse Hammer Academy, Aviemore Ice Rink and the Rothiemurchus and Aviemore Tennis Club. Not to mention its support of educational projects, both in the Highlands and across Scotland, such as Project Scotland, Aviemore Primary School and Addiewell Primary School.

Witherby Publishing Group Charitable Trust has helped and continues to support individuals such as Elise Cosens, an up-and-coming swimmer, also part of team Scotland's Youth Development Swimming Club; Nathan McQueen, a talented Paralympic archer and Ciaran, an up-and-coming drummer now attending Berklee College of Music in Boston.

To get involved in celebrating the Trust's £1m of giving, you can follow the campaign on Witherbys' social media channels or view the videos on our dedicated YouTube and Vimeo channels.
