Dr Gavin Wallace Fellowship 2022

Apply by Monday 5 December for this year-long writer’s fellowship based in Scotland.

The Dr Gavin Wallace Fellowship was established to honour a Creative Scotland colleague who committed his entire professional life to helping writers and literature organisations in Scotland.

The purpose of this fund is to support an organisation based in Scotland to host the year-long Dr Gavin Wallace Fellowship during 2022/23.

The Dr Gavin Wallace Fellowship has been designed to support mid-career and established writers. The award is intended to provide one writer with time to develop their work over the course of a year, and the opportunity to work creatively with an organisation based in Scotland. The fellowship is aimed at allowing a writer time to create work rather than deliver creative workshops or other project-based activities.

The 2022/23 host organisation is the Edinburgh City of Literature Trust.

In 2022/23 one award of £25,000 is available. The award is to be divided into a £20,000 stipend for the successful writer, and £5,000 to the host organisation.
