Aleksi Siltala
Aleksi Siltala studied contemporary history at the University of
Helsinki, and specialised in Latin American and Cuban history. He
worked for over 15 years at the then largest publishing house in
Finland, WSOY, as a copywriter, editor and non-fiction
publisher.
In 2008 he founded Siltala Publishing together with his brother.
Siltala Publishing is an independent, family owned publishing house
with a list of approximately 35 titles every year. Siltala's
foreign authors include Jonathan Franzen, David Foster Wallace,
George Saunders, Patrick deWitt, Eleanor Catton, César Aira,
Ljudmila Ulitskaya and Herman Koch.
